Women’s Empowerment and Credit Linkages Program

TRRM promotes women's empowerment in targeted villages by establishing savings and credit groups that enable them to combine their resources and invest in their own production while also providing a financial safety net during times of crises. Additionally, TRRM connects these groups with nationalised banks to offer access to loans and provides vocational training programs to enhance their skills. TRRM's efforts to enable women through savings and credit groups and vocational training support them in achieving financial independence and greater economic security.

Fisherfolk Empowerment Program

TRRM creates awareness among the fishing community about ways to improve their economic activities and establishes Self Help Groups to protect their livelihoods. This initiative helps fisherfolk to adopt better fishing techniques, increase their catch, and generate higher income. The formation of Self Help Groups enables fisherfolk to collaborate, share knowledge, and access financial services, which can aid in coping with natural disasters and market fluctuations. TRRM's efforts to promote awareness and establish Self Help Groups can greatly enhance the economic activities and livelihoods of the fishing community.

Childline Program

TRRM hosted the Childline program, supported by the Childline India Foundation, to safeguard children who were at risk of child abuse, dropping out of school, being forced into early marriage, or working in textile mills as adolescents. In addition, TRRM established a Child Help Desk at Rameswaram Railway station, in partnership with the Ministry of Women and Child Welfare and the Railway department. This initiative provided aid and assistance to vulnerable children in need. Early Childhood Program.

TRRM's early childhood program prepared young children for school by engaging parents and reducing the risk of child abuse. Additionally, TRRM conducted Constitutional Rights Education programs to educate children about their fundamental rights.

Global Greengrants Funds Program (GGF)

GGF's partnership with TRRM addresses the challenges of solid waste pollution and environmental toxicity. TRRM is promoting effective water management practices and encouraging the use of organic manure in the fields. Through training programs, TRRM is assisting farmers who use pesticides, helping them access financial assistance to avoid the use of harmful chemicals. Additionally, TRRM conducts orientation events for school children and community members to raise awareness about the impact of pesticides on the environment and human health. These efforts demonstrate TRRM's commitment to promoting eco-friendly practices to achieve a healthier and more prosperous community.

Adolescent Girls Empowerment Program

TRRM is dedicated to providing adolescent girls with opportunities for personal and social development through health and social awareness programs, vocational training, education support and financial assistance for those who have dropped out of school. To support the girls' well-being, TRRM conducts health camps and mental health counselling sessions in target villages and helps them continue their education. TRRM also organises awareness camps in schools to promote the importance of education, child protection, and future opportunities. Additionally, TRRM has established Community Resource Centers in Kamudhi Block to facilitate access to services and programs. The organisation offers a variety of activities, including speech, dance, storytelling, silambam, yoga, and handcraft programs for both boys and girls in the target villages.

Federation Activities

TRRM's approach to community development centres around the power of collaboration and collective action. The organisation believes that bringing together groups from different regions can result in more effective problem-solving for common issues. By promoting cooperation and shared efforts, TRRM i facilitates sustainable solutions to the challenges facing communities.

1. TRRM has established the Fisherfolk's Federation to empower and support women involved in the fishing industry.

2. TRRM also formed the Ramanathapuram District Fish Workers' Federation to bring together individuals working in the fishing sector to address shared challenges.

3. The Community Support Groups in multiple villages in Kamudhi Block have formed a Federation to promote sustainable development and address common issues.
